                            Congratulations to Sheptone signature string artist, David Becker on being this month's cover artist for Jazz Guitar Today magazine.  Becker has been a long time friend and when I came out with the strings, he called wanting to check them out.  Becker has been referred to as a "Virtuoso" and "one of the greatest jazz guitarists ever" by the media. Yes! That Dougie Needles. THE Dougie Needles of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Needles has always been one of my favorites. Nothing flashly. No tappy, tappy. Just pure, straight, rock and roll guitar. He is good people. The way it should be. Needles has been playing my Sheptone strings since I launched them back in 2020. If you haven’t heard by now, I have teamed up with my long-time friend Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein of the legendary Misfits to launch a line of guitar accessories.  We are starting off with strings.  The Von Frankenstein Monster Gear strings are the same exact string as the Sheptone string, just in a wider variety of gauge combinations.  If you dabble in drop tunings, definitely check out the line.  OR, if you have a couple seven strings lying around, we have a signature set from Jeff Loomis and another from Machinehead guitarist Logan Mader.  There is plenty more to come. ...
